How the AI works

(plain language)

  1. Computer vision (photos → ingredients)

We use vision models to detect likely ingredients from your meal photos and packaged foods, then you review & confirm. This can speed up journaling and focus attention on common triggers (e.g., gluten, dairy, FODMAP categories).

  2. Pattern recognition (meals ↔ feelings)

Gut Goddess looks for recurring co-occurrences between certain ingredients and your logged symptoms (bloating, nausea, brain fog, energy dips), providing confidence-weighted “possible trigger” vs. “power food” hints and short summaries you can understand.

  3. Diet-aware suggestions

Your preferences (gluten-free, dairy-free, low-FODMAP, vegan) are considered when highlighting concerns or proposing swaps.

  4. Educational layer

When an insight mentions an allergen or sensitivity, you can tap to read plain-language explainers and management tips from reputable references (e.g., Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic, ACG).

Important: Gut Goddess does not diagnose or treat conditions. Always consult a clinician for medical care.
